	For my Taiwanese friend, Alice-- for her birthday. The various Chinese characters are "fei" (fly), "shing" (star), and "ai" (love), as well as her name. She taught me those. Watercolour, and I did her hair with mascara, since I don't have any black...

Johnk replies: "Thanks a lot! I actually was inspired by the way my boyfriend draws hair; it's kind of the anime style, in a way. I felt like it was appropriate here."
23 Jun 2007	Kathryn M. Butler	Loading... I love the colors here. You've manged to blend a few colors to make a lot of colors. Did that make sense? Oh well. I like it! Elizabeth Z. Johnk replies: "Thank you. ^_^ I was working from four colors (blue, red, yellow and brown), and then used mascara for the black, which works surprisingly well! Watercolours are probably my best painting medium to work with, having had the most experience with them."
